Our Therapists
Claudia Skowron, MS, LCPC/LPC, CADC
Licensure Illinois/Colorado
Claudia Skowron is the owner and founder of CST Counseling and Consultation. She is a licensed clinical professional counselor who has also attained her CADC certification. She graduated summa cum laude from Illinois State University earning her Master’s Degree in Clinical-Counseling Psychology. Claudia has extensive experience working in a range of treatment settings including inpatient mental health, PHP/IOP (partial hospitalization/intensive outpatient), community mental health, and private practice. She also has experience working with high-profile cases, business consultation, and business workplace dynamics.

Claudia's theoretical framework pulls from cognitive-behavioral therapies, dialectical-behavioral therapies, motivational interviewing therapies, strength-based approaches, and psychoeducational-based coaching. Yet, her therapeutic approach is eclectic, meeting the needs of her clients. “A certain approach that works with one individual may not resonate with another; it’s my role as a therapist to meet each client where they are in treatment and adapt the most appropriate therapeutic interventions.” Claudia frequently attends conferences and trainings to stay up-to-date on the latest therapeutic treatment modalities and enjoys mentoring younger clinicians.
Claudia enjoys working with adolescents, young adults/young couples, and adults. Her level of expertise shines in working with young adults in transitional phases such as college and career/life transitions as well as work/life balance. "Life will be full of stressors and transitions and our job is to come prepared to navigate."
Claudia has spoken at the Illinois Association of Behavioral Health Conference, was interviewed on several podcasts including “Feeding Curiosity,” and has been featured in The Waiting Room Magazine as a “Top Counselor.” Claudia is a member of the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare and the American Psychological Association. Claudia is also featured as an expert writer for Psychology Today.

Laura Esposito, MA, LCPC
Licensure Illinois
Laura is a licensed clinical professional counselor and has experience working with ages 4-65 across various settings. Prior to working at CST Counseling & Consultation, Laura worked with at risk youth in a non-for-profit crisis setting for nearly 2 years. She has helped children, adolescents, and their families receive appropriate treatment to ensure a supportive transition out of crisis.
Laura has experience with a wide variety of issues including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, suicidal ideation, self-injurious behaviors, behavioral issues, self-esteem issues, LGBTQIA, relational distress, and life transitions. Laura appreciates taking a client-centered approach to therapy. She values a collaborative and genuine relationship and wants to help you learn about yourself.
Her goal is to create a safe space for clients to express themselves and guide individuals to learning about mindfulness, radical acceptance, their window of tolerance, their self-worth, and more.
Megan Oberhauser, MA, LCPC
Licensure Illinois

Megan Oberhauser is a licensed clinical professional counselor and has worked in hospital, residential, and outpatient levels of care for nearly a decade. After graduating with honors in 2015, she immediately began her career specializing in the treatment of eating disorders. While continually working with the eating disorder population, Megan expanded her clinical repertoire as she interned with survivors of domestic and sexual violence, going on to receive her master’s degree in 2019. From there, Megan has developed a passion and proficiency for treating not only eating disorders, but also trauma, OCD, LGBTQ+ issues, borderline personality disorders, and family/interpersonal dynamics.
Megan has studied as an attachment theorist but takes an eclectic approach when working with clients. She believes that her expertise, in conjunction with a client’s own self-knowledge can come together and create the right treatment modality for each individual. Specific interventions Megan utilizes include exposure and response prevention (ERP), emotion focused family therapy (EFFT), behavioral modification, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and radically open DBT (RO-DBT.)
Megan believes, on a personal and professional level, that everyone deserves to live their fullest life; a life that is not only physically, but mentally and emotionally healthy and well-rounded. She is so happy you're here and cannot wait to work with you as a team to get you where you want to be!
Megan Fuller, MA, LPC
Licensure Illinois
Megan is a licensed professional counselor and earned her master’s degree in counseling from The Family Institute at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. For the last 18 years, she has worked in a wide variety of settings including behavioral health hospitals, community mental health, middle school/high school therapeutic schools, college settings, domestic violence agencies, and the criminal justice system. Megan specializes in individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, psychoeducation, and assessments. She has worked with clients as young as 9 to geriatrics; however, she mostly enjoys working with adolescents, young adults, and adults.

Megan has experience with complex trauma, PTSD, attachment disorders, mood disorders, chronic mental illness, anxiety, grief, LGBTQIA+ issues, personality disorders, at-risk youth, life transitions, female studies and gender issues, eating disorders, self-injurious behavior, suicidal ideation, substance use, ADHD, school issues, issues within the criminal justice system, and family of origin issues. Megan's foundation is in psychodynamic theory; however, overtime she has molded her approach to be integrative in nature and dependent on what best serves the client and meets them where they are. Megan believes in the importance of family and community support and will often try to include support systems to better understand and help the client.

We all get stuck throughout our life and my goal is to help clients move on through healing developmental trauma, making healthier choices, being better attuned to their emotions, and changing behaviors.

When not working, Megan loves to read, cook, and has recently taken up baking and training her one-year-old Mini Bernese Mountain dog, Charlie, on how to be an emotional support and therapy dog. She is really excited to join the CST Counseling and Consultation team and cannot wait to walk down your life path with you.
